After tiring but successful conference organization, it is now time to welcome Oxford University Department of Continuing Education for a three-day-certified teacher training programme called “Oxford Teachers’ Academy” at Beykent University Şişli-Ayazağa Campus. The programme starts on 9th April, 2012 and ends on 11th April. During this intensive programme, 35 ELT instructors will be trained.

What is OTA?

OTA stands for Oxford Teachers’ Academy, a training programme held by Oxford University Department of Continuing Education. Each certified programme lasts three days and on each day, three workshops are given. Each workshop takes one and a half hours. At the end of each day, candidates are asked to write a feedback form. Feedback forms are assessed by Oxford University Department of Continuing Education. If the forms filled in by the candidate are satisfactory, he/she is awarded an OTA certificate. Attendance is also mandatory in this programme.

  3. Listening
  4. Classroom Management II
  5. Focusing on Language I
  6. Reading
  7. Focusing on Language II
  8. Effective Oral Correction
  9. Vocabulary
